As the new year fell upon us, I found myself super busy with a ton of photographic work. Which is certainly a good thing for a working photographer. However the one main thing I wasn't actually doing, was taking photos. I was doing everything else that comes with being a photographer, except the one main important thing. Now I love being busy and the work I was / am doing, has been very vital to plans and projects for the near future. As well as providing me with some income.
A whole month had gone by since the turn of the year and I was starting to get some serious withdrawal symptoms from not picking up my camera. Then I organised a last minute test photoshoot with a local model Roxanne. I had worked with Roxanne near enough exactly one year prior and knew she would be a great subject for me to work with at such last minute.
Picking up the camera again felt strange and slightly foreign. But as soon as we started getting into the swing of things, everything started to feel like normal again. It had made a nice change to break from the things I had been preoccupying myself with up to that point.
We worked on several themes and styles and had a right laugh doing so. I looked back on the images we created and thought maybe it was a good thing I had had the break away from shooting. I came back with a fresh set of eyes and actually felt I had pushed past some old habits I had formed when shooting previously.
Well its been another full month since I did this shoot with Roxanne and I have been swamped every since. I streamlined my diary and workflow and haven't put the camera down since. Every weekend for the past 4 weeks have been filled with new and old faces alike, working on producing new and exciting content.
Enjoy this little beauty for now and be sure to stay tuned for new and updated content coming within the next few weeks. I'm sure you'll be liking the results.
Ciao for now folks.
