Last week I had a couple of days off, so I decided I wanted to visit my country's capital. My main aim for going up there was to just walk around the streets and find interesting characters to photograph. London doesn't dissapoint for interesting characters. You have the business people, bankers, tourists, taxi drivers, street performers, street vendors and city dwellers. All these different types of people make London exactly what it is. As a portrait lover, I sought out some of these interesting people and approached a few to see if I could grab a unique shot or two.
This lovely fellow I saw coming towards me, as I was walking along the embankment of the river thames, was certainly eye catching. He looked like he had been performing all day and he was just on his way home for the evening. It made for an interesting photo on its own. But before I even had a chance to ask to ask if I could grab a picture of him, he gestured to me to take one of himself.
The Charlie Chaplin make up he had on and the facial expression were ideal for the type of photograph I was trying to achieve that day. It was showing personality and humour and resulted in the image above. Probably one of my favourites of that day.
I plan on spending more time up in London any chance I get. Just to continue on capturing the interesting people that make it such a great place to visit.
